Hi, I'm Carla! I'm an artist, designer, radiologic technologist, and devoted dog lover behind every hand-drawn design at RAD TECH ARTIST. What started as a passion project celebrating the unique personalities of different dog breeds has grown into a collection of charming stickers, keychains, and magnets that bring joy to fellow dog enthusiasts.
The Story Behind the Name
RAD TECH ARTIST reflects the two sides of who I am. By day, I work as a radiologic technologist, a career that requires precision, attention to detail, and a caring approach to people. By night (and weekends!), I channel that same dedication into my art. The "RAD TECH" in my brand name is a nod to my healthcare profession, while "ARTIST" represents my creative passion. Together, they capture the unique blend of technical skill and artistic heart that goes into every design I create.
Why I Started RAD TECH ARTIST
My love for dogs runs deep, and I've always been fascinated by how each breed has its own distinct character and charm. I wanted to capture that essence in my art, not just what dogs look like, but who they are. RAD TECH ARTIST was born from this desire to celebrate the personalities that make each breed special, from the regal Maltese Prince to the spirited Miniature Schnauzer to the lovable English Bulldog.
What Makes My Work Unique
Every design you see is hand-drawn by me in what I call a "charm-realism" style. I blend realistic breed details with an approachable, charming aesthetic that captures both accuracy and personality. My background in radiology has trained my eye for detail and precision, skills that translate beautifully into capturing the unique features of each breed. I spend time researching each breed's characteristics, expressions, and quirks to ensure every piece truly represents the spirit of that dog. From the initial sketch to the final product, I pour attention into the details that make each breed recognizable and lovable.
My Creative Process
Each design begins with sketches where I explore different poses and expressions that best capture a breed's personality. Once I've nailed the character, I refine the artwork digitally, paying close attention to breed-specific features like the texture of their coat, the shape of their ears, the sparkle in their eyes. After finalizing the design, I carefully select premium materials to bring it to life as a sticker, keychain, or magnet that you'll love for years to come.
