About Me

Hi there, I'm Carla—artist extraordinaire and proprietor of Rad Tech Artist. I wear two very different (but equally meaningful) hats in my life.

By day, I’m a radiologic technologist, working with physicians to create the images that help diagnose and treat patients. It’s a profession I truly love because I know I’m making a difference in people’s lives—often in meaningful, even life-changing ways.

But the moment I clock out, I enter an entirely different world—one filled with sketchbooks, paint, and characters with wagging tails and big personalities. That’s where I become the artist, crafting the designs you see here.

Art has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. After stepping away from drawing for nearly a decade, I decided to return—not just as a hobby, but as a way to reconnect with something I’ve always loved. The journey back has been one of relearning, experimenting, and growth. My style is still evolving, and while my work may not be flawless, it’s honest and full of heart. Every sticker, keychain, and design is something I’ve poured genuine care and effort into.

I still make mistakes—especially with lighting or details—but I learn from every piece. I’m always aiming to improve, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

Rad Tech Artist is where my two worlds meet: precision and creativity, storytelling and handmade charm. Every product celebrates dogs with big personalities—whether it’s a feisty Boxer, a diva Poodle, or a gentle Shih Tzu. My goal is to make you smile—or maybe remind you of a pup you love.

This journey is also a tribute. My late father always believed in my art and encouraged me to do something with it. Publishing my work on what would have been his 67th birthday is my way of honoring that wish. I carry his belief in me with every sketch I create.

Final note for fellow creators:
You don’t need to be perfect to participate. You don’t need to be flawless to create, to share, or to sell your work. Art is a journey—and you’re allowed to take part in it at any stage.
